Webinar Presenter – Del Marie McAlister

Del Marie McAlister is a bereavement consultant based in Northern NSW. She has worked in the aged care industry for many years as a Chaplin and as a recreational activities officer. She is the former chaplain of Ballina District Hospital and was a suicide bereavement responder with the Standby Program.

Additionally, Del Marie is a funeral celebrant, an accredited disaster response chaplain (who was deployed to the Lismore community after the 2017 floods), life coach (with many years’ experience of public speaking), the local representative for Push for Palliative, and the founder and facilitator of a bereavement support group in northern NSW. She is the author of a book entitled, My Grief Handbook.

Del Marie launched The Care Program in 2017, which are values-based training sessions on bereavement, self-care, stress management, dementia, and palliative care. She is now working as a chaplain in aged care, freelance journalist, consultant and workshop and seminar presenter. She has been a funeral celebrant for 16 years.

  2. A reminder email the morning of the event.
  3. A follow-up email which includes a link to the recorded webinar, which expires after 30 days.  

 

Other important information

Cost – the cost is $40 per person, you will receive an invoice from ACCA once you have registered.

Access – along with access to the webinar, the system will also update a dial-in number and passcode for participants to use if they cannot access a computer. This way, they can still dail-in and listen to the audio over the phone.

Technical element – at the start of the webinar there will be a short 30-second briefing from the webinar system on how to the use the program e.g. chatbots, technical assistance, volume, etc to make sure you are comfortable with the system before the webinar starts.
